VB-Airsuspension chooses Microsoft Dynamics AX and Pulse to facilitate growth

Level of ambition requires new ERP system

An annual growth of 25% put VB-Airsuspension on track towards an ERP selection process. Following an intensive comparison process, the manufacturer of (air) suspension systems decided to move away from the old ERP system and to choose a new partner and a different system. “Microsoft Dynamics AX helps us with further growth and the people from Pulse were the deciding factor”, says Iginio Voorhorst, founder of VB-Airsuspension about his decision.

“The old system had reached its limit and something therefore had to change”, Voorhorst starts. The company, founded in 1993, has changed over the years. In 2005 a change came about, at which time the company started to focus entirely on (air) suspension systems. It proved a great success, however it had an impact on the IT environment. “Our current system no longer fulfilled our wishes and requirements. IT should have been taking the pressure off us, yet it actually created more work”, Voorhorst explains. It took quite some time for the decision to be made to move away from the current system. Voorhorst: “The decision was taken company-wide. Our people are the ones that have to work with the system, and it was therefore important that everyone was on the same page.” Ultimately, everyone agreed on Pulse with Microsoft Dynamics AX. Voorhorst explains: “Everyone immediately had a good feeling about Pulse. The enthusiasm, the determination and, from day one, all of the Pulse people demonstrated commitment. They came with the right information, leading to everyone feeling that they really did want to help and to understand our processes.” Hiljon te Boome, Director of Operations at Pulse about this new customer: “We got to know VB-Airsuspension as a great, dynamic and ambitious company, with the right work ethic. Right from day one, we felt that these characteristics were perfectly in line with the Pulse culture. In addition, the processes of VB-Airsuspension were perfectly in line with the Pulse solution for manufacturing companies supplying the automotive industry.” Trebling VB-Airsuspension set itself the goal of doubling its turnover and production within three years. Within five years, we actually want to treble turnover and production. Ambitious, but according to Voorhorst, very realistic considering the current market and the fact that Microsoft Dynamics AX has been selected. Voorhorst: “Microsoft Dynamics AX will contribute to this ambition. We are now facing difficulties that will cost unnecessary time and money. With the arrival of Microsoft Dynamics AX, these problems will disappear later on.”
