LDM Brass BV and B&E Metaalperswerk BV in the Netherlands, BE-Aluschmiede GmbH, Siedle Warmpressteile GmbH and Siedle Galvanik GmbH in Germany, BE-Alutech Kft in Hungary and Esvres Matriçage SA in France form part of the BONS & EVERS Holding. BONS & EVERS Group’s business structure enables it to supply its customers with pressed parts from across the full spectrum of aluminium, copper and brass alloys. Each company within the group also specialises in processing one type of alloy. The often hidden, but complex brass, aluminium and copper parts are used in passenger cars, trucks, sanitary installations, water meters, heating systems, piping systems, gas valves and beer tapping systems or in household electronic appliances and installations. Following an evaluation of its ERP strategy, BONS & EVERS Group concluded that the current ERP landscape would be unable to adequately support the changing market demand, its international character and the future strategy. A suitable and future-proof ERP solution was sought, which would enable synergistic effects to be achieved. Oude Nijhuis: “Within our group of production companies, we have different logistics models; Microsoft Dynamics AX will enable us to house these different models within a single ERP environment. Other important considerations when choosing the Microsoft platform were the international availability and support. Microsoft Dynamics AX showed us a new and refreshing way of working. Personal and relevant ERP information is offered proactively, negating the need to search for information.” In terms of the implementation partner, a long-term relationship was deemed important, with a party who has specific knowledge of the sector and identifiable references. Ultimately, Pulse was chosen. “As well as the existing relationship with Pulse, Microsoft recommended this industry specialist to us. Pulse gave an exceptionally professional impression and it was evident that Pulse had fully understood the business case; it gave us confidence in a successful outcome”, according to Oude Nijhuis. The project recently commenced at LDM Brass in Drunen.
